New
Compact Electronic Valve Actuator with Built-In Conduit
Connector Cuts Installation Costs and Time
Ideal for zone, terminal units, actuators deliver
greater performance advantage
Because of its small size, built-in conduit
connector, and enhanced performance functions, the new
Powermite™ SSC Valve Actuator from Siemens Building
Technologies is ideal for zone and terminal unit control
applications for water and steam. Powermite SSC Valve
Actuators feature:
- Compact
Size: Similar in size to a handheld electronic
organizer, these actuators mount where there's no
room for other types
- Built-in
Conduit Adapter: Built-in conduit adapters
accommodate 3/8-inch conduit or straight cabling,
eliminating the need for add-on connectors and the
time to install them.
- Fail Safe
Capability: Positive, fail-safe valve positioning to
protect mechanical equipment upon power loss is
assured by Siemens' unique electronic
capacitor-activated fail-safe circuit design. It's
not mechanical spring-activated like others'
designs.
- Greater
Close-off Force: Provides more close-off force than
Siemens' Powermite MZ series of valves; at the same
time, it's more economical than most other terminal
valves with the same functionality.
Available in
fail-safe and fail-in-place models for two- and
three-way actuation, SSC electronic actuators can be
mixed and matched with any of the Powermite 599 MT
Series ½ to 1-inch bronze valve bodies. These
actuators provide both visual position and manual
override. They can also be used where existing MT Series
valves with SQS-type actuators simply won't fit.
Powermite 599
MT Series valve bodies have been designed according to
the latest industry standards governing such factors as
leakage class ratings and flow rates. Features such as
standardized flow rates simplify valve selection, while
direct-coupling actuators make pneumatic-to-electronic
upgrades instantly possible.
